Send only what helps.
Include your macOS version, Mark & Lot version and build, broker and export type, exact visible error, and whether it occurs in Light, Dark, or both appearances.
For import problems, create a minimal sanitized CSV that preserves only the header names and one or two fake rows. Send security reports with Mark & Lot security in the subject. Never send API secrets or live access tokens.

Common questions
Answers grounded in the ledger.
01
Why does cost basis say estimated or unavailable?
A transaction-history export cannot prove activity before its requested period or the tax lots for transferred-in holdings. Mark & Lot uses supported FIFO reconstruction and labels missing evidence instead of guessing.
02
Why is a price marked PRE, AFTER, closed, cached, or delayed?
Regular and extended-hours marks are separate. The badge and timestamp identify the session that produced the active mark. Cached values remain visible if a refresh fails.
03
Do prices refresh automatically?
Yes. While the app is running, current-session quotes refresh automatically. The interval adapts to regular, pre-market, after-hours, and closed sessions, and failed requests use a capped backoff instead of overlapping.
04
Why does net account value need a margin snapshot?
A complete cash ledger can imply a debit, but only a broker balance provides point-in-time liability evidence. Mark & Lot deducts margin principal once and does not treat it as a trading loss.
