Skingevity Dashboard

The clinician side of Skingevity: a web portal where aesthetic clinics review VISIA skin scans, build treatment plans, and keep every patient's record in step with the app on their phone.

Project Overview

Challenge

Clinics captured VISIA scans on hardware that kept its results locked inside the treatment room. Getting those results to a patient meant re-typing numbers by hand, and there was nowhere for a clinician to see one patient's history across visits.

Solution

We integrated directly with Canfield's VISIA platform and built a clinician portal on top of it. Scans import on a schedule, land against the right patient record, and publish straight through to the app — no manual entry, no exports.

Impact

The dashboard runs across partner clinics in London, Oxford and Birmingham, serving a live patient roster with automatic scan import. A capture taken in clinic reaches the patient's phone without anyone transcribing a result.

Access and Privacy

Clinical imagery is sensitive, so access is enforced in the database itself with row-level security. Clinicians see only their own clinic's patients, private accounts stay hidden entirely, and staff accounts are provisioned by verified clinic email domain.

Key Features We Built

Automated VISIA Sync

A scheduled job polls each clinic’s Canfield VISIA system, imports new consultations with their scores and feature imagery, and de-duplicates the repeat records the imaging system publishes for a single capture.

Patient Roster and Assignment

Clinicians search 60+ patients by name, email or notes, filter by assignment status, sort by last visit, and reassign a patient to a colleague without leaving the list.

Unmatched Scan Resolution

Scans that arrive without a matching app account queue in a dedicated Unmatched view with a live count, so a scan captured before the patient signed up still reaches them once they do.

Longitudinal Metric Review

Every scan a patient has ever had sits on one timeline — tiles for each of the eight VISIA metrics plus TruSkin Age and actual age, and a trend chart that redraws per metric across the full scan history.

Treatment Plan Builder

Clinicians stage a plan step by step with due dates and notes. The dashboard shows next due, overdue count and completion progress, labelled with exactly how each state will appear in the patient’s app.

Shared Treatment Catalogue

One catalogue of treatments — categorised across face, skin, body and wellness, with descriptions and featured flags — feeds both the clinician’s plan builder and the patient-facing app.
